Motorola Xyboard is a state of the art piece of technology, announced in 2011 and bringing enjoyment to our lives with its dual core CPU and PowerVR GPU, powering a HD multi touch display.

If your device is not yet rooted, you will be able to do it if you follow our tutorial (please see step 1 below). The benefits of a flashed device derive from the possibility to install custom ROMs, which are a great deal of fun. On the other hand, the tablet’s warranty gets void, and risky procedures might make you think twice before rooting, flashing and installing third party software on the device.

Here is how to install TWRP Recovery on Motorola Xyboard:

As a prerequisite, install the latest USB drivers and charge your battery to above 80%. Back-up all personal data, settings, IMEI number on you SD card or use dedicated PC software to be sure. Flashing the device won’t lead to the deletion of data, but it is always better to stay safe. Be aware that this tutorial applies to Motorola Xyboard only. Do not try to apply the following guidelines to other models!
